Short version: Marquesina does not collect any data. Everything you enter — every lot, reading, batch, factor test and sale — stays only on your device.
What Marquesina is
Marquesina is a drying and factor ledger for small-scale coffee growers. It runs entirely offline. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no advertising.
Data we collect
None. Marquesina does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, usage data, or device identifiers with us or with any third party. The app makes no network requests of any kind.
Information you store on your own device
The information you enter — lot names, picking totals, moisture readings, fermentation notes, factor tests, sale prices, and any photos you attach — is written only to your device's local storage, protected by the device's own file protection. We never see it, and it is never uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
Camera and photo library
Marquesina asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to attach a picture of a coffee sample or a dryer bed to a lot. Photos you add are saved locally alongside that lot's data. They are never uploaded automatically; they leave your device only if you choose to share them yourself using the system share sheet.
Notifications
Marquesina can show two kinds of local reminders — a fermentation-target alert and an optional evening logging reminder — both scheduled entirely on your device. No push notification service or remote server is involved, and no data leaves your device to create them.
Required-reason API use
Marquesina stores your preferences (such as haptics, sound and reminder toggles) using Apple's UserDefaults API, declared under reason code CA92.1 in the app's privacy manifest. This is used only to remember your own settings on your own device.
Children's privacy
Marquesina is a farm record-keeping tool intended for adult growers. It does not knowingly collect any information from children, and in fact collects no information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
